Kellyanne Conway snaps when CNN host confronts her about calling Christine Ford a Democratic pawn

White House counselor Kellyanne Conway on Friday got testy when CNN's Alisyn Camerota called her out for saying that Brett Kavanaugh accuser Christine Ford might be a pawn for Senate Democrats.

During a discussion about Ford's plans to potentially testify next week, Conway said she had concerns that Democrats simply might be using Ford as a way to bring down Kavanaugh's nomination to the Supreme Court.

"I hope this woman is not being used by the Democrats because that is, of course, who breached her confidentiality from the beginning," Conway said. "She asked to remain anonymous."

Camerota, however, pointed out that Ford first alerted the Washington Post to these allegations back in July before Kavanaugh had even been named the nominee.

"The fact that she came forward to the Washington Post... on the tip line, what makes you think she's some sort of stooge for the Democrats?" she asked.

"No, I didn't ever say she's a stooge for the Democrats!" Conway shot back. "Don't attribute that to me!"

Conway then went on to insinuate that Ford's accusations are part of a nefarious Democratic plot to hurt President Donald Trump's Supreme Court nominee.

"Her lawyers, as you know, were headlining a fundraiser for a senator who will be voting on his nomination to the Supreme Court," Conway said. "In the interest of CNN's constant quest for truth, let's put it all out there."
