Baffling witness on Kenneth Chesebro's trial list could blow up in his face: legal expert
During an appearance with host Ali Velshi on Sunday morning, MSNBC legal analyst Lisa Rubin singled out one the witnesses former Donald Trump lawyer Kenneth Chesebro included on his list as he defends himself against racketeering charges in Georgia.
Noting that the embattled attorney has plans to call over 50 witnesses in his defense, Rubin was baffled by the inclusion of Trump lawyer and advisor Boris Epshteyn who is already under scrutiny over his involvement with the former president.
"Looking at that list, I see names that made me think to myself, why would Chesebro think that person is going to be an effective witness for him?" she told the host.

"Number one example of that to me is Boris Epshteyn," she elaborated, "who has some criminal exposure of his, as never been named defendant or a conspirator but what makes Ken Chesebro think that Boris Epshteyn isn't going to take the 5th if called as a witness in Ken Chesebro's trial?"
