'The kind of logic that bankrupts casinos': Internet flays Trump for insisting he 'can't lose' China trade war

President Donald Trump on Wednesday insisted that there was no way the United States could possibly lose its trade war with China, given that the U.S. already has a large trade deficit with its Asian rival.

"When you’re already $500 Billion DOWN, you can’t lose!" the president wrote on Twitter.

Trump's tweet sparked fierce ridicule, as many people pointed out that this is the sort of logic that bad gamblers use when they've already lost a fortune at the casino, and yet still go back to hit the slots again.
