One of President Donald Trump's in-laws was roasted on Tuesday night after she gave a "weird" interview on Fox News.
Lara Trump, who is married to Donald Trump's son Eric, joined Laura Ingraham on "The Ingraham Angle," where the two discussed last night's Met Gala, which was hosted by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his second wife, Lauren Sanchez. Ingraham asked Lara Trump why she wasn't at the event, which is often attended by some of the biggest names in politics, sports, and entertainment. Her quizzical answer sparked a flurry of mockery online.
"I don't think that the president has lost any sleep over it," Lara Trump said. "I can promise you that nobody in our family is very concerned. I'm sure we all got invited; they just got lost in the mail. That must be what happened."
Political analysts and observers reacted to Trump's comments on social media.
"Weird," liberal YouTuber Vince Wilson posted on X. "The President has no problem intervening in the Federal Reserve, so why doesn't he intervene in the USPS to look into this? Oh, because no one really invited them."
"Actually, it’s because no one likes you," Joanne Carducci, a political commentator, posted on X.
"Maybe they were afraid she might sing," political commentator Daniel Davis posted on X.
