To kick off the first episode of the last season of HBO''s popular "Curb Your Enthusiasm," the writers and star Larry David needled Donald Trump for his arrest and processing at the Fulton County jail after the former president was indicted on RICO charges by District Attorney Fani Willis.
In the episode that premiered Sunday night titled "Atlanta," the writers mocked laws in Georgia that make it illegal to provide water to voters standing in line which led to the normally irascible David being taken into custody for handing a water bottle to a Black woman.
That, in turn, led to David recreating Donald Trump's glowering mugshot in full bronzer spray tan.

As the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported, "At the end of the episode, David was arrested for inadvertently breaking state law by providing water to a friend waiting in line to vote. 'I was just being cordial!' David screams as he’s dragged away."
In an interview with "The Wrap," the show's executive producer Jeff Schaffer stated the show was being shot in Atlanta at the time of the Trump arrest and explained, "Trump gets caught with one of his many hands in one of the many cookie jars, and I remember just walking in and I said to Larry, ‘This is crazy. You’re in Atlanta, he’s in Atlanta, you just got arrested. Let’s do this!’ We had to wait until the strike was over to even be able to shoot Larry looking like our former Oompa Loompa. So it came completely afterwards."
