Hollywood heavyweights are throwing their power behind an effort to oust Colorado GOP Rep. Lauren Boebert, Newsweek reported Monday.
According to the website's analysis, "More than a dozen actors, musicians and filmmakers" have donated to Democrat Adam Frisch's bid to take Boebert's seat in 2024.
"Among those donors are blockbuster star Ryan Reynolds, music legend Barbra Streisand, the Oscar-nominated director Rob Reiner, founding member of The Eagles Don Henley as well as singer and daughter of Johnny Cash, Roseanne Cash," Newsweek's report stated.
Frisch has reportedly smashed fundraising records with a haul of over $3.38 million in the third quarter, which is almost four times the amount that Boebert has raised.

In a recent post to X, Boebert accused Frisch of being funded by "Soros dark money and even Hollywood liberals like Barbra Streisand and Ryan Reynolds."
"I need your help. Can I count on your support today for the critical November end-of-month deadline?" Boebert wrote.
Jeff Hurd, one of Boebert's Republican challengers, said Hollywood is donating to Frisch simply because he's running against Boebert.
"Every Republican should be disappointed and worried with all the out-of-state liberal money flooding into the district," Hurd's campaign told Newsweek.
"Unfortunately, our current representative is directly responsible for the liberals of California and New York to come in and buy the Colorado 3rd. It is because of her divisive rhetoric, distracting public antics, and lack of attention to the district we are even in this position."
