Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) switched districts to improve her chances of keeping a seat in Congress — but she might have walked into more of a battle than she expected.
A straw poll conducted by Colorado Politics after the first debate of the election season in Colorado’s 4th district had her come in fifth among nine GOP candidates.
And that shock for Boebert has delighted opponents.
“Before I go to bed, I thought it would only be fitting to send “thoughts & prayers” to my colleague, Lauren Boebert,” mocked Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) on X.

“It’s my understanding that she placed 5th in her first straw poll of the election cycle. Now how many of y’all think BoBo gonna try to convince us that polls don’t matter… of course unless they are trash for Biden & great for Trump!”
Boebert received only 12 votes from the attendees of the debate — about 10 percent of the total.
