LISTEN: Mick Mulvaney ripped Trump's border wall idea as 'absurd and childish' in uncovered audio file

President Donald Trump's Incoming White House acting-chief of staff Mick Mulvaney knocked the president for his border wall idea.

CNN's KFile uncovered a 2015 interview from WRHI radio in South Carolina 015 interview from their show KFile were Mulvaney called the border wall a "simplistic" idea.

He even slammed the border wall idea as "absurd and almost childish."

"The fence doesn't solve the problem. Is it necessary to have one, sure? Would it help? Sure. But to just say build the darn fence and have that be the end of an immigration discussion is absurd and almost childish for someone running for president to take that simplistic of [a] view," Mulvaney said.

Trump is currently in turmoil as a government shutdown looms over his border wall. Trump has refused to sign off on funding until the Senate approves a budget for his wall.
