Longtime Senate Intelligence Committee staffer to be charged with leaking classified info: report

A veteran congressional staffer who works for the Senate Intelligence Committee is being investigated for leaking and may be under sealed indictment, the Wall Street Journal reports.

The investigation concerns "unauthorized disclosure of classified information," according to the paper's sources, and federal prosecutors will likely unseal charges against the staffer soon.

The Senate is giving the Justice Department documents related to the investigation. That follows from an "unusual resolution that quietly passed unanimously."
