'So many lies': Internet unleashes on DHS Sec. Kirstjen Nielsen's 'propaganda' claim there's no policy on separating children

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen said at the White House press briefing Monday that there is no policy that mandates children be ripped from the arms of their parents. The claim, and her press briefing in general, sent the internet into a rage at what they called lies.
The laws about those undocumented immigrants crossing the border aren't new, but the White House's "no tolerance" policy has resulted in the crisis. Nielsen claimed that families were separated under previous administrations, which is factually inaccurate, according to CBS News reporter Rebecca Kaplan. In a tweet, she cited a court case in which President Barack Obama's DHS secretary "came under fire" for keeping families together.
