In a caucus far, far away, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene donned a big, white furry costume — and the X empire struck back.
"Snow is covering the ground in below ZERO temperatures," Greene told her viewers outside a Trump 2024 calling center in Iowa. "Tonight’s win will be historic for President Trump and MAGA!"
“You look like the Wampa in Empire Strikes Back, Marge,” replied @JoJoFromJerz.
For those not in the Star Wars know, Wampas are carnivorous mammals that once dwelled on a snowy planet called Hoth, apparently.
"Wampas are powerful furred bipeds that dwell in the snowy wastes of the ice world," their profile reads. "These hulking predators have razor-sharp fangs and claws, yet move with surprising stealth."
Greene is a Republican congresswoman from Georgia who famously warned Americans about the dangers of secret space lasers.
"A laser beam or light beam coming down to Earth I guess," Greene wrote in the infamous post. "Could that cause a fire? Hmmm, I don’t know. I hope not!"
The Iowa Caucus is where state Republicans Monday will choose the candidate they’d like to send to the White House. Former President Donald Trump is the frontrunner among Republicans.

Several people found @JoJoFromJerz’s comparison insulting — to the flesh-eating, fictional snow monster.
“Don't insult the Wampa like that,” said Nate.
“Insulting to Wampas,” agreed Fred.
“That Wampa did not deserve that,” replied Darth Mosh. “He lost an arm for being hungry isn’t that enough?”
Here’s a gif of a Wampa that X users say looks like MTG in Iowa.
