Rep. Melanie Stansbury (D-NM) called out Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) for breaking the rules of parliamentary procedure while chairing the House DOGE subcommittee.
At a hearing on Tuesday, Greene spoke out of turn after a Democrat slammed President Donald Trump.
"No one loves veterans more than President Trump, and he's made that apparent," Greene said. "That's why he's working for peace."
"Madam Chair. Madam Chair," Stansbury pleaded. "It's not your time."
"I'm the chair of this committee!" Greene exclaimed, banging the gavel repeatedly.
That's not how parliamentary procedure works," Stansbury noted.
"You're not recognized, Ms. Stansbury," Greene insisted.
"You're not recognized either," Stansbury shot back. "You can't just speak anytime you want."
"I'm the chair of this committee," Greene repeated.
"That's not how it works," the Democrat stated. "Madam Chairwoman, that is not how part of it. You can smash your gavel all day, but that's not how parliamentary procedure is. We're going to get you a Robert's Rules of Order."
Greene eventually yielded to Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX).
