Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) quoted a Taylor Swift song, "Shake It Off," after the singer called her "Trump in a wig."
During a Wednesday appearance on Newsmax, Blackburn was reminded about Swift's insult.
"In 2020, in a documentary, she said that you were Donald Trump in a wig," the host noted. "How do you respond to that?"
Blackburn seemed wary of criticizing the star.
"Taylor Swift is really a popular, very talented young woman," the senator replied. "She has built quite an empire. I am so, so thrilled that she has chosen to base that in Nashville. She is considered to be an influencer."

Blackburn claimed that border policy would be a bigger factor in the 2024 election.
"So I got to ask, did it bother you, or do her comments bother you at all when she said Trump in a wig?" the host pressed.
"I just shake it off," Blackburn remarked.
