Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) on Thursday absolutely leveled rebellious Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) during an appearance on the right-wing Newsmax network.
During an interview, Mullin dished on claims about Gaetz's behavior, in particular the way he would openly boast about his sexual exploits to colleagues.
"It wasn't too long ago that nobody would touch him because he was being accused of sleeping with underaged girls," he said. "Honestly, there were no colleagues that came out and defended him because, quite frankly, the stuff he would show on the floor [of the House of Representatives] and the stuff he would brag about on the floor before he was married, we probably thought, 'Well, that's reasonable,' and we would have to walk away from him."

Later in the interview, Mullin talked about exactly why he personally found the allegations against Gaetz believable.
"The first time I ever met the guy, he walked up to me and [South Dakota Gov.] Kristi Noem, at the time, was at the podium," he said. "And he said, 'Man, she's a fine b-word...' And I said, 'Really? Because Kristi is a very close friend of mine.' And he turned around and walked away. Later, I will say, he came up to me and apologized for that, but he still shouldn't have said it!"
