Matt Gaetz 'is not an adult': GOP senator

Millennial Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) was criticized for his lack of maturity by a Generation X senator from his own party.

""That guy is not an adult," Sen. Ben Sasse (R-NE) said of the Florida lawmaker during an interview with Politico.

The remarks came as one of the latest salvos in the GOP civil war between those who accept the fact Donald Trump lost the 2020 election and those continuing to push the "Big Lie" that incited the fatal January 6th insurrection.

Sasse also mocked Nebraska Republicans seeking to censure him for voting to impeach Trump.

"You want to go to some hotel, strip mall conference room and scream about a politician who tried to tell you: 'I would oppose somebody in my own party who violated their oath?' That's not healthy," he said.

Sasse put out a harsh statement criticizing the insurrectionists on the day of the Capitol attack.
