McConnell defends Senate's decision to subpoena Donald Trump Jr.

On Tuesday, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell defended Senate Intelligence Chairman Richard Burr's decision to subpoena Donald Trump Jr.
“None of us tell Chairman Burr how to run his committee,” McConnell said according to Politico. “I asked him to undertake this investigation with Russian collusion a couple of years ago. He’s indicated publicly that he believes they will find no collusion.”
Burr issued to the subpoena so that Donald Trump Jr. would testify about his communication with Russia. In addition to events such as the Trump Tower Moscow meeting.
Donald Trump Jr. has been advised to ignore the subpoena and even Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) encouraged him to ignore it as well.
Trump also spoke out about the subpoena.
“My son spent, I guess, over 20 hours testifying about something that Mueller said was 100 percent okay. And now they want him to testify again,” Trump told reporters. “It seems very unfair to me.”
