The former first lady of the United States reportedly has "no interest" in stumping for her husband at the Republican National Convention.
It was not lost among social media critics of former President Donald Trump that some notable names were absent during the first few nights of the convention. Chief among them: "Where's Melania?"
Mrs. Trump eventually appeared on the last day of the convention, but according to CNN's Kaitlan Collins, she refused to advocate for Mr. Trump.
"I was told by sources they tried really hard to get her to give a speech tonight. They personally — several people — personally appealed to her and she had no interest in doing so," Collins reported. "Of course a lot has changed since 2016. Donald Trump was convicted in New York in the hush money case, something that became a real point of division between he and the first lady when that story broke when they were in the White House. And so it is notable to see her coming out as Melania Trump is known for doing in her own style, in her own way, coming out by herself to sit in this box."

The internet mocked Donald Trump over Melania's decision, saying: "By the looks of it she has no interest even being there."
"A smart choice on her part to be honest," wrote @AreMond2 Thursday.
