Melania Trump is more like Donald than people dare think: Washington Post reporter on MSNBC

First Lady Melania Trump remains a mystery in many ways, but her interview with ABC News in which she calls herself "the most bullied person in the world" and rages against the unfair media gives a clue to who she really is, two reports said on MSNBC Saturday.

During a segment about Melania Trump, The Washington Post's Emily Heil said that a number of things really stood out in the interview.

For starters, the fact that Melania admitted for the first time in the interview her famous "I Really Don't Care Do U?" jacket was a message to the "leftwing media." Through a spokesperson, Melania had originally tried to deny that she was sending any signal with the jacket.

"Clearly, she's echoing her husband, Heil said. "This was a partisan response as well—this was 'leftwing media.'"

We've heard so little from Melania, Heil said. But the more we hear, the more she sounds like every other Trump.

"Despite the few things that she disagrees with her husband on... she sounded just like a Trump," Heil said. "She echoed many of the things that President Trump said. She sounded like him in other ways. She said she thinks she could be 'the most bullied person in the world.' Most bullied—hat's such a Trumpian kind of go to the superlative."

People have been projecting on Melania, Heil said.

People imagine that maybe she's the secret resistance in the White House or maybe she's a secret feminist that hates her husband," she said. "This interview took any of that away—stick a fork in that."
