Hush money judge pushes attorneys to finish closing remarks in court Tuesday night

New York Justice Juan Merchan said he intended for attorneys in Donald Trump's hush money case to finish their closing arguments by Tuesday night.

During a late afternoon break in Assistant District Attorney Josh Steinglass' summation, Merchan said jurors had indicated they wanted to work late to finish closing statements.

Todd Blanche, Donald Trump's attorney, had completed his closing remarks earlier in the day.

At about 5 p.m, Merchan told Steinglass that the court would reevaluate if he did not finish by 7 p.m.

Steinglass had indicated that his summation would take over four hours.

The jury could begin deciding the case on Thursday to determine if Trump is guilty of a crime.
