Michael Avenatti arrested in Los Angeles on domestic violence charges: report

Attorney Michael Avenatti has been arrested for felony domestic violence, TMZ reports.

A law enforcement source told the publication that a woman filed a domestic violence report and that her face was "swollen and bruised."

"A law enforcement source says on Tuesday, Avenatti 'kicked her out of the apartment' and that's when the alleged domestic violence occurred," TMZ reported. "We're told she went back to the apartment on Wednesday to retrieve her belongings and called police to stand by in case things got heated."

Avenatti reportedly showed up within minutes and ran into the building after her, repeatedly screaming, "She hit me first."

"This is bullsh*t, this is f*cking bullsh*t" he reportedly added.

"Cops showed up and escorted Avenatti into a corner of the apartment lobby and spoke with him for 5 to 10 minutes and then took him into custody," TMZ reported.
