Donald Trump’s former personal attorney Michael Cohen is prepared to “fill in the bulk” of Attorney General William Barr’s redacted version of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report, according to his lawyer, Lanny Davis.
Hours before the scheduled release of the redacted Mueller report, Davis took to Twitter to promise Cohen is perfectly capable of rounding out picture AG Barr will present to the nation.
“As the country waits for the Mueller Report, know this…it does not matter how Barr redacted Mueller Report,” Davis wrote in a tweet. “Michael Cohen has 7 days, 70 hours, [and] 100 pages of what Team Mueller knows and can fill in the bulk of the redactions.”
“Nice try,” Mr. President, he added.
Cohen piggybacked on Davis’ tweet promising he’ll soon “be ready to address the American people again.”
Cohen is preparing to begin his 3-year prison sentence in May. He pleaded guilty in 2018 to eight counts stemming from Mueller’s investigation, including campaign finance violations and bank fraud, and one count of lying to the Senate.
