Michele Fiore threatens Republican primary rival: 'You wanna have a fight with me?'

Nevada state Assemblywoman Michele Fiore (R) got into a war of words with one of her opponents on Thursday during a Republican congressional primary debate, Crooks and Liars reported.

Footage from the six-person debate shows Fiore looking intently at Annette Teijeiro as Teijeiro tells her, "I know you've been around the country, but there are problems here in Nevada. And you know what? We can't solve problems by going and shooting people in the head."

The remark was a reference to Fiore's statement last December that, rather than barring Syrian refugees from entering the state, she would rather travel to Paris and "put a piece of brass in their ocular cavity and end their miserable life."

The video, which was originally posted by Teijeiro, shows Fiore standing up and grabbing another microphone before telling her, "Your time is up."

As the assemblywoman says that, a bell begins ringing -- presumably to signal the end of Teijeiro's turn. Fiore then adds, "You wanna have a debate with me? You wanna have a fight with me? The bell is ringing. Put your mic down."

The two candidates had another contentious exchange later on, when Fiore said of Teijeiro, "This chick can't run on her own merits, so the only thing she does is attack all of us."

"I'm not a chick, I'm actually a medical doctor," Teijeiro replied. "I'm an anaesthesiologist."

Fiore and Teijeiro, along with four other contenders, are running to become the Republican candidate for the state's 3rd Congressional District. The current incumbent, Rep. Joe Heck (R-NV), is running this year to represent the state in the Senate.
