A MAGA senator took issue Wednesday with "aggressive" Capitol Hill reporters who, he complained, are 'not just asking questions" during a tumultuous start to President Donald Trump's second term.
Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) joined Fox News and told host Laura Ingraham it has felt like a "feeding frenzy."
"The feeding frenzy of the liberal Capitol Hill press corps — which are not just liberal reporters, they're liberal activists and lobbyists," he began, as Ingraham interjected.
"Explain how that's changed in your mind," Ingraham replied. "It's a change in the way they're acting. They were always liberal, but what's happening now?"
Lee bemoaned that journalists are "more aggressive now."

"They're not just asking questions of senators. They're following people down the hall. They're shouting out things. They're speaking with a sense of urgency that reveals a lack of journalistic objectivity. Make no mistake, Laura. These people are activists," he finished.
Lee has clashed with reporters in the past, including in 2022, when he "exited an event in Utah on Tuesday so quickly that even his staffer was out of breath," Talking Points Memo remarked at the time. In that case, a reporter approached the senator and tried to ask him about damning text messages published by CNN over his communications with former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows in the days leading up to the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol.
He has also faced scrutiny over his evolution from a Trump critic to a staunch ally.
