The U.S. Senate on Wednesday attempted to stop for the evening following the second day of Donald Trump's impeachment trial.
But Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) attempted to have some comments stricken from the record.
The Senate parliamentarian ruled the request out of order, which was agreed upon by Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-VT), the presiding officer of the trial.
After some back and forth, Sen. Lee agreed to withdraw his motion for the time being, although it may come up again on Thursday, Rep. Jaime Raskin (D-MD) explained.
