'A miserable place to work': Trump Chief of Staff John Kelly looking to leave White House

According to a report in the New York Times, President Donald Trump's Chief of Staff, John Kelly, is eyeing leaving his job, saying the White House is a "miserable place to work."

The former military man made his comment to a group of senators last week, saying he has been unable to get control of a White House that continually seems to be spinning out of control.

According to Kathryn Dunn Tenpas, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution, Kelly is rapidly losing influence in the White House.

"It seems as though Chief of Staff Kelly is losing power by the day," she explained. "It’s almost like a battery that’s draining. I’ve not seen any presidency operate effectively without putting somebody in there that you respect and you can trust.”

Kelly is currently accompanying Trump in Singapore ahead of the president's historic summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
