'Did you misspeak about your treason?': Internet hammers Trump for claiming Putin meeting was a great success

On Tuesday evening, President Donald Trump's irrepressible urge to Tweet important matters of statecraft reared up again.

"The meeting between President Putin and myself was a great success, except in the Fake News Media!" the President of the United States Tweeted.

The Tweet came after a public statement in which the President swore faith in American's intelligence agencies this afternoon—though not in their assessment that Russia had interfered in the US election.

The Internet was quick to respond to the president's claim.
