The teen who killed four people and received a light sentence after claiming to suffer from "Affluenza" is out of jail, but his mom's legal problems continue.
Tonya Couch is headed back to jail after being busted violating her parole for the second time in four months, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
In 2013, when he was 16, Ethan Couch drove drunk and killed four people injuring others. The Texas man was sentenced to 10 years of probation, outraging many who felt that someone who killed four people deserved to spend at least some time behind bars.
In the aftermath, Ethan Couch violated his probation by being spotted drinking at a party. Rather than face the music, he and his mom absconded to Mexico where they were eventually detained and . He got out of jail two months ago.
By helping him become a fugitive, Ethan Couch's mother Tonya Couch was charged with hindering apprehension of a felon and money laundering.
She has been let out of jail on bond twice in the last four months only to end up testing positive for another substance. She is not supposed to use marijuana, alcohol or any other drugs.
No other information is available because Judge Wayne Salvant has issued a gag order in the highly publicized case.
