‘Morning Joe’ jumps off the Trump train — AGAIN — over ‘completely racist’ comments about judge

MSNBC's Morning Joe hasn't exactly been fiercely critical of Donald Trump's campaign and has regularly provided cover for some of his most outrageous actions. That said, Trump will very occasionally say something that crosses the line, and that's been happening over the past several days when Trump has repeatedly attacked the judge overseeing the Trump University case for being a "Mexican."

Joe Scarborough and his morning panel ripped into Trump on Monday morning for his "completely racist" remarks on Judge Gonzalo Curiel, whom Trump has accused of having a conflict of interest in overseeing the Trump University case because his parents are of Mexican descent.

"It's completely racist," Scarborough thundered. "Here you have a guy that is from Indiana, from Indiana. I think his family, if I'm not mistaken, had been in the country longer than Trump's grandmother."

Panelists Nicole Wallace and Al Sharpton agreed with Scarborough's assessment that Trump's statements were racist, and let's face it: Saying a judge is unfit to rule on your case because of his heritage is about as racist as it gets.

The panel then played a clip of Trump pointing to a black man attending one of his rallies on Friday while calling him "my African American." Sharpton was not impressed by this gesture either.

"This is the guy the Republican party says should be in charge of the government of the United States and the armed services, to appoint judges, Supreme Court judges -- this is the guy [who says] 'look at my African-American over there,'" Sharpton said with disgust.
