On Wednesday, a panel hosted by MSNBC's Chris Matthews slammed Fox News for falling for "white nationalist propaganda."
Former GOP Congressman David Jolly said that the station is selling fear as an "act of desperation before the elections."
"They're selling fear that brings out these cultural wars that Republicans use to manipulate [in order to] win elections," Jolly said.
Matthews then played a clip of Fox News host Laura Ingraham speaking poorly of "chain migration."
MSNBC commentator Michelle Goldberg said Ingraham's racist language was a result of Donald Trump's presidency.
"One of the side effects of Trump's presidency is that Fox News has given itself increasingly to white nationalist propaganda," Goldberg said.
