MSNBC's Al Sharpton silences GOPer with live fact check after she says Dem takeover of House is a ‘blue trickle’

MSNBC host Rev. Al Sharpton was forced to fact-check conservative Stacy Washington, who attempted to downplay the "blue wave" that happened during Tuesday's election.

Washington began by saying that it wasn't really a blue wave but a "blue trickle" and Democrats only won 27 seats. Sharpton interrupted, noting that the conservative pundit was certainly entitled to her own thoughts, but not her own facts.

"Just a second. We can have different opinions. We can't have different facts," he said. "Thirty-five to 40 seats may turn over was the biggest turnover since 1974 with Watergate. That's not a trickle."

Ballots are still being counted in 13 close races, but the number stands at 33 Democratic seats to flip. There's a good chance Democrats could win many of those seats, Axios reported. That's the most since Watergate, where the party picked up 48 seats after Nixon.

Washington awkwardly chuckled after everything Sharpton said that called her facts into question.
