MSNBC's Morning Joe ridicules Trump's 'meltdown' over losing 2020 election: 'You can tell he's really scared'

President Donald Trump's most recent Twitter "meltdown" betrays his growing concern about his latest Democratic challenger, according to MSNBC's Joe Scarborough.

The "Morning Joe" host mocked the president for showing all his cards in a tweetstorm complaining about former Vice President Joe Biden, who has already become the frontrunner after entering the race last week.

"When Kenny Rogers sang about 'The Gambler' he was not thinking of Donald J. Trump, because (he) has the worst poker face, I think, in the history of modern American politics," Scarborough said. "He was sort of on a meltdown (Monday) about Joe Biden being in Pennsylvania, there's a tweetstorm about it, and you can tell he's really scared of Biden."

Trump understands that winning Pennsylvania again will be key to his re-election, Scarborough said, and "Morning Joe" contributor Elise Jordan said the president was clearly "unnerved" by Biden's popularity right out of the gate.

"Joe Biden has definitely gotten under his skin," she said, "and that the way Joe Biden is going about attacking him, not directly head on, but referencing the lies and the lack of moral character, and definitely making Donald Trump part of his case for defeating him, that the character of the man does matter, has been effective and has gotten in Donald Trump's head."
