MSNBC's Nicolle Wallace blisters Trump's Montana speech as the 'pathetic' words of a man 'desperate for attention'

Nicolle Wallace delivered an epic takedown of Donald Trump to open her MSNBC show on Friday, describing a narcissistic man so obsessed with getting a rise out of people that he can't function like a normal adult.

The rant started with a discussion of Scott Pruitt, who Trump reportedly ordered his chief of staff to fire after months of scandals.

In the wake of that, Wallace said, Trump acted like the "Sun King," because "he wants all the media's attention for himself."

Wallace played a clip of Trump's unhinged rants about Elizabeth Warren and the "rigged deal" of the FBI investigations into his collusion with Russia.

"Ay-ay-ay, where's Melania?" she asked. "Even his friends describe that version of Donald Trump as slightly pathetic. As someone who is so desperate for attention, so desperate for the cheers and hoots and hollers from the crowd, that he puts on a show that really isn't even remotely close to anything presidential."
