MTG slams 'corporate communists' for trying to bring diversity into workforce: 'Blah blah'
January 08, 2024
Georgia GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene took a swipe at companies that implement diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) training on Monday in response to a post about investment company Blackrock laying off employees.
"Corporate communists believe they have to force behaviors," Greene wrote in her post to X. "They only need to remember as a corporation or business their ONLY job is to SERVE THEIR CUSTOMER with the best job possible to make their customers happy!"
"It’s not about gender, sex, race and blah blah blah," she added.

Greene was responding to a post from the X account "End Wokeness," which shared a video showing a widely-panned interview from 2017 in which Blackrock CEO Larry Fink said his company would "force behaviors" on "gender or race" and threatened employee compensation if DEI standards weren't met.
"You have to force behaviors. If you don't force behaviors, whether it's gender or race orjust any way you want to say the composition of your team, you're going to be impacted. That's not just recruiting, it's development," Fink said. "We're gonna have to force change."
According to recent reports, the company plans to cut roughly 3 percent of its global workforce.
