Mueller grilled Manafort-linked Trump pollster about his operations in Ukraine: report

Special counsel Robert Mueller last year interviewed a prominent Republican pollster who worked with former campaign chairman Paul Manafort on both the Trump campaign and on election campaigns in Ukraine.

CNN reports that Mueller and his team interviewed pollster Tony Fabrizio last February and asked questions about his past work with Manafort in Ukraine, where the former Trump campaign chairman had done work on behalf of Kremlin-linked oligarchs.

The interview with Fabrizio is significant because it was revealed this week that Manafort shared internal Trump campaign polling data with Konstantin Kilimnik, a Russian national who has long been suspected of being a Russian government operative.

Despite this, however, CNN's sources say that Mueller did not ask Fabrizio about the polls that Manafort shared. However, CNN also reports that "it is not clear what other topics were broached in the interview or whether it solely focused on Fabrizio's knowledge of Manafort's business dealings."
