Elon Musk appeared to sport a black eye during his Oval Office appearance with President Donald Trump Friday.
Musk was celebrating the last day of his tenure as a special government employee heading up the Department of Government Efficiency.
The bruising was visible at the outer corner of his right eye as Musk answered reporters' questions. He didn't address the apparent injury and no reporter asked him about it.

Although it was technically Musk's last day, Trump left the door open for further government involvement by the Tesla founder.
Trump presented Musk a "key to the White House" encased in a wooden box displaying the president's signature.
“We’ll remember you as we announce billions of dollars of extra waste, fraud and abuse,” Trump said. “DOGE has installed geniuses with an engineering mindset and unbelievably talented people on computers. I actually asked Elon one time, ‘What's their primary thing?’ And they have a lot of primary things all having to do with being smart.”
