Robert William Simet, an Omaha, Nebraska resident, has been arrested for making threats against the life of U.S. Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) after claiming she is a member of the Islamic State.
According to the Associated Press, 64-year-old Simet was arrested by FBI agents on Friday for threatening Ernst at a Pacific Junction, Iowa motorcycle shop where Ernst is scheduled to speak tomorrow.
He reportedly told an employee at the shop on Wednesday that he "could kill" Sen. Ernst at the event, and that "everyone in the government needs to be killed off."
