With an entourage of reporters documenting his every move, native New Yorker Donald Trump made a brief stop at the 9/11 Memorial and Museum in Manhattan Saturday -- leaving the press waiting outside while taking a quick 30-minute tour.
Accompanied by his wife Melania, the GOP presidential front-runner -- who is still campaigning in his home state while skipping appearances in California and Colorado -- walked through the museum for the first time, surprising tourists and locals at the site of the 2001 attack.
Not everyone was pleased, with some turning to Twitter and Instagram to post pictures of the controversial candidate with commentary.
On Instagram, josh_andew posted a photo of the candidate and his wife, writing, "Ugh a Trump sighting in NYC #Hillary2016 #NoTrump"
Others on Twitter were less polite, criticizing the GOP presidential candidate for everything from demonizing Muslims to using the stop for campaign purposes.

The press also took some heat for slavishly following the candidate who has abused and criticized them, while calling them "disgusting."
