'It's why the nickname stuck': Beto O'Rourke slams 'Lyin' Ted' for being 'dishonest' during Texas debate

Rep. Beto O'Rourke (D-TX) mocked Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) with the nickname President Donald Trump's bestowed during Tuesday evening's debate for the Texas senate race.

”Senator Cruz is not gonna be honest with you," O'Rourke predicted.

"He’s gonna make up positions and votes I’ve never held or have ever taken," he continued, as Cruz chuckled nervously.

"He’s dishonest," O'Rourke continued, as Cruz chortled again.

"It’s why the President called him 'Lyin’ Ted,' and why the nickname stuck, because it’s true," he concluded.
