President Donald Trump is kicking off his NATO summit on Tuesday. He also plans to meet with Russia's President Vladimir Putin.
President Trump has taken a nontraditional route in building relationships with America's allies. President Trump oftentimes contradicts himself with what the rest of what his administration is saying.
"For instance, defense secretary James Mattis talks about wanting to build up NATO. Donald Trump talks about no one paying up. To get North Korea to make a deal. Then you have the president saying deal's made, done, all great, wonderful," MSNBC's Katy Tur said on Monday. "The intelligence community saying Russia hacked our election. Donald Trump, saying he believes Vladimir Putin."
"So who do they trust? Do they trust the president speaking or do they trust the rest of our government?" Tur asked.
Tur ended by saying that it says a lot that not too many people in the global community take President Trump seriously.
"So what does that say about the president, that no one takes him seriously?" Tur asked.
