MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle on Wednesday refused to let Rep. Tom Reed (R-NY) get away with dodging a question about tax reform.
Ruhle began her interview with Reed by noting that he had recently attended a meeting with President Donald Trump to discuss tax legislation.
"You met just yesterday with President Trump at the White House and talked tax reform," Ruhle explained. "What can you tell us about that meeting and what specific details did President Trump share about the plan?""
"Well, you know, the best thing about the meeting was we invited the Democratic members of the Ways and Means Committee," Reed replied.
"That's not what I asked you, Tom," Ruhle interrupted.
"I appreciate that, Stephanie," Reed grimmaced, before opining about how he welcomed the "opportunity to be there with Democrats and Republicans."
"Not what I asked ya," Ruhle pressed again.
"We're delving into the details," Reed insisted.
"So, what I'm asking you is, besides that it was so great and you were honored to be at the White House and see Democrats there," Ruhle demanded, "what are the details in the plan?"
After her fourth request, Reed explained that the plan would "lower the tax rates" and allow Americans to file taxes on a "postage card."
