Ocasio-Cortez joins billionaire Warren Buffet to wage war on overpaid CEO's of failing banks
May 18, 2019
Progressive Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortes (NY) joined with Berkshire-Hathaway founder Warren Buffett to say bankers who drive their institution into the ground -- necessitating a government bailout -- should lose their fortunes.
The outspoken Democrat retweeted a CNBC article about Buffett telling shareholders that execs and their wives should forfeit their net worth over mismanagement fueled by greed.
According to the lawmaker's tweet: "It still blows my mind that the CEOs who crashed our economy + caused millions of people to lose their homes not only escaped handcuffs; but got bonuses, too. Many still have influential roles shaping the economy today. But we’re the crazy ones for wanting to tax ‘em, right?"
