Omarosa's PR team cuts off TMZ interview after Harvey Levin pushes on why she didn't quit after N-word

In an interview with TMZ live, erstwhile White House aide Omarosa Manigualt Newman struggled to explain why she continued to support Donald Trump after learning he may have used a racial slur.

Manigualt Newman's "publicist was not amused," the report noted, when TMZ founder and former Trump pal Harvey Levin pressed her on why she stayed on at the White House after learning her mentor may have used the N-word.

Levin noted that Manigault Newman was still Trump's "fiercest supporter" at the time she recorded herself and campaign staffers Lynne Patton and Katrina Pierson discussing the potential existence of the N-word tape.

In the tape, Patton is heard saying she asked Trump if he ever used the word and he responded "no." Manigault Newman can be heard saying in response to his defense that that was "not true."

"That was at a time that you were his fiercest supporter, with the knowledge that you believed, based on the tape that you recorded, that you believed that Donald Trump used the N-word," the TMZ founder said. "That's stunning."

Manigault Newman responded by bringing up the infamous "Access Hollywood" tape, which she said "shattered" her trust in Trump.

"After I had that conversation [with Pierson and Patton], I was on a mission to find out if, in fact, that [was] true," she said. "I needed to know for myself if, in fact, he said that."
