Orrin Hatch suffers Merrick Garland amnesia: ‘We didn’t treat their candidates the way they are treating ours’

Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-UT) on Thursday lashed out at Democrats for holding up Judge Brett Kavanaugh's nomination to the Supreme Court.
"I really want to thank the Democrats who have stood up for Judge Kavanaugh," Hatch told reporters at a press conference on Thursday.
"We can't keep going down this partisan, picky, stupid, dumbass road that happened around here for so long," the senator added. "I'm sick and tired of it to be honest with you."
"Frankly, we didn't treat their candidates for these positions the way they are treating ours," Hatch insisted, ignoring the stonewalling of Judge Merrick Garland. "And I would like to see us hopefully break through and change that attitude with regard to Judge Kavanaugh's confirmation."
The National Archives said this week that it would not be able to produce Kavanaugh's records before the end of October, making it less likely that the justice will be seated before the beginning of the next Supreme Court term.
