'Who's the biggest pain?' Trump's 'least liked Cabinet' member sinks even lower in polling
CNN's Harry Enten presented polling data that showed which of President Donald Trump's Cabinet members was causing him the most problems with the public.
All of the president's top-ranking officials are unpopular, with none of them enjoying approval ratings above 50 percent, but the network's chief data analyst found that Attorney General Pam Bondi was by far the most disliked Trump Cabinet member.
"What a disaster for Pam Bondi, and therefore, if I'm Donald Trump, I'm just going, 'What the heck is going on here?'" Enten said. "You know, take a look here: Google searchesfor 'free speech,' get this, uplike a rocket – up 186 percent versusthe five-year average. I wentback and looked at every singleweek, more folks are searchingfor 'free speech' this week on Google than any week in at leastfive years, and, of course, notsurprisingly, who's the toptrending topic with free speech?Well, it's Pam Bondi, ofcourse. People are taking hercomments, looking it up,interested in it, and, as you sawfrom that Wall Street Journaleditorial, they ain't liking ittoo much from the left to theright."
"Pam Bondi wasalready underwater, and Iwouldn't be surprised if shegoes underwater more," Enten added.
Bondi has the worst approval rating among Trump's Cabinet officials, at minus-19 percent, which far below the most popular official, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who's at minus-7 percent.
"Something that nobody, nobodyfor the most part, likes how the Trump administration has beenhandling them, of course, she'sbeen a key leadership role," Enten said. "Imean, look at this: Approval of Trump on the Epstein files.It's just 19 percent, 19 percent of alladults, 67 percent disapprove. Among Democrats, it's 2 percent, independents,12 percent, and even among Republicans, you can't even getto 50 percent approval, and, of course,this just goes all the way back."
"Who is the biggestpain in the rear end in the Donald Trump administration forhim?" Enten added. "Who is he having to answerfor? Oftentimes, it'sfor Pam Bondi. The free speechsituation is just anotherexample of that, and we're justgoing to have to wait and seewhere it goes. But at thisparticular point, there's areason why Pam Bondi is by farthe lowest and the least likedmember of Donald Trump's cabinet."
