Parkland shooter Nikolas Cruz etched swastikas into his rifle ammunition magazines

Parkland school shooting suspect Nikolas Cruz reportedly etched swastikas onto his rifle magazines — and had enough of them to keep firing.

CNN reported Tuesday that Cruz had 180 rounds remaining and could potentially have killed many more people.

Shortly after the Valentine's Day massacre that claimed the lives of 17 people at Parkland, Florida's Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, a white supremacist militia from the state's capitol in Tallahassee claimed Cruz was a member of their group. Soon after, however, their claim was revealed to be a hoax.

Despite the false connection to organized white supremacists, however, more credible reports that Cruz held racist and anti-Semitic beliefs circulated in the aftermath of the shooting.
