One of the most iconic stars of the smash hit sitcom "Parks and Recreation" took issue with a far-right MAGA activist using his likeness in a meme.
Over the weekend, Michael Flynn Jr. posted to X, "Good morning and Happy Sunday! No quotes today. Just wanted to post how I feel about 'pride' month." He accompanied this post with an edited GIF of Ron Swanson, the fictional ultra-libertarian, anti-government parks manager of the City of Pawnee, Indiana, tossing an LGBTQ pride flag into a dumpster.
But Nick Offerman, the actor who portrayed Swanson, did not appreciate this use of his likeness, and dropped a reminder for Flynn that that's not what the character stood for at all.
"Ron was best man at a gay wedding you dumb f---. #HappyPride" wrote Offerman, who in addition to Swanson also played a gay character in The Last of Us.
Flynn is the son of Michael Flynn Sr., the former National Security Adviser for President Donald Trump who was swiftly fired and pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about his contacts with Russia, before Trump granted him a pardon.

The elder Flynn has since become a prominent voice in the QAnon movement, a Nazi-adjacent conspiracy theory cult that the United States is secretly controlled by a shadowy network of Satan-worshiping cannibal child traffickers who usually include various Democratic Party politicians and Hollywood celebrities. He triggered outrage when he called for the United States to face a military coup similar to that in Myanmar.
