Former Donald Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort may have made misstatements to special prosecutor Robert Mueller's investigators about his overseas interests, The Wall Street Journalreported Wednesday.
Citing "people familiar with the matter," The Journal reported his misleading statements about his "personal business dealings" and communications with Konstantin Kilimnik.
Kilimnik, know as Manafort's "Russian Brain," was indicted by the special counsel in June.
Kilimnik is suspected of maintaining ties to the Russian military intelligence agency GRU.
