Paul Manafort's lawyers want a judge to seal part of his trial transcript

After his bombshell guilty verdict came down yesterday, Paul Manafort's lawyers are trying to have part of his trial transcript sealed.

Courthouse News reported that Manafort's attorneys asked U.S. District Judge T.S. Ellis III to seal part of the trial transcript from an August 7 sidebar conference because it refers to "an ongoing federal investigation."

The attorneys' request, the report noted, covers a similar topic that was struck from the trial transcript at the request of the government on August 9.

The report did not indicate what the topics of the investigation or conversations were.
