Pedestrian struck in hit-and-run — then immediately shot by bystander in baffling Florida incident

On Monday, WFLA reported that a pedestrian in Largo, Florida was struck by a white Jeep which fled the scene — and was then immediately shot by a passerby.

No details about the victim have been released, except that they have been transferred to Bayfront Medical. The condition of the victim is unknown.

The motive for the shooting remains unclear. But police say the shooter, who is now in custody, is not related to the hit-and-run incident.
