'High to almost a certainty' Pence flips on Trump after election exit: legal analyst
Now that former Vice President Mike Pence has abandoned his ill-fated bid for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, there is nothing holding him back from providing testimony about Donald Trump's attempt to overturn the 2020 presidential election results.
According to MSNBC legal analyst Danny Cevallos, he believes Trump's former running mate no longer has anything to lose by turning on his old boss and he can easily see Pence becoming a willing witness about the former president's part in the Jan. 6 insurrection.
On Sunday morning, MSNBC fill-in host Charles Coleman Jr. asked Cevallos about the implications of Pence dropping out of the race in a surprise announcement on Saturday.

"What do you think the likelihood is that we will see him take the stand against his former boss?" host Coleman prompted.
"High to almost a certainty," the attorney shot back, "because I think that when he was opposing subpoenas in the past, he was doing so symbolically. He was doing putting on a front."
"If he was speaking candidly behind closed doors, he was probably saying, 'All right, we have to argue against the subpoena, just for the show, just for my candidacy. But secretly, I can't wait to go in there and testify against the guy who put this tremendous fear in me and many other people in Congress on that fateful day well over a year ago now.'"
'So, I don't think there's gonna be much impediment to Mike Pence racing in to testify," he predicted.
